The United National Party (UNP) states that no decision has been made thus far regarding the May Day celebrations marking International Workers’ Day on May 01.
The party further noted that it has not reached any agreement to jointly organize May Day events with any other political party or organization.
This was stated in an official statement signed by UNP General Secretary Thalatha Athukorala.
