A foreign national has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake after being found in possession of a consignment of ‘Kush’ weighing over 01 kg.
The suspect was arrested during a joint operation carried out by officers of the Sri Lanka Customs and the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB), authorities said.
The arrested individual has been identified as a 35-year-old Indian national, according to police.
Further investigations are underway.
