Foreign monk in peace walk, hospitalised

A foreign Buddhist monk participating in the 'Ehipassiko' walk for peace, had been admitted to the Matale District Hospital after suddenly falling ill, 'Lankadeepa' reports, citing hospital Director - Dr. Susantha Fernando.

The monk had been rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after showing signs of Epilepsy in the Kongahamula area of Matale.

The ailing monk was given swift treatment and had been recommended not to join the walk due to his medical situation, Dr. Fernando has added.
