Train services along the coastal line have been completely disrupted near the Ambalangoda railway station today (July 28) due to a mechanical fault in a train travelling from Hikkaduwa to Maradana.
The Railway Department states that necessary steps are currently being taken to remove the faulty train and restore the track.
As a result, all train services on the coastal line have been affected, reports say.
