“House of the Dragon” Season 3 has an official premiere date at HBO.
The third season of the “Game of Thrones” prequel will launch on June 21 at 9 p.m. ET and streaming at the same time on HBO Max. The eight-episode season will air new episodes weekly until the season finale on August 9. HBO had previously said the new season would begin in June, though an exact date was not known until now.
HBO has also released a new teaser trailer.
Based on George R.R. Martin's book “Fire & Blood,” the series is set roughly 200 years prior to the events of “Game of Thrones” and tells the story of the Targaryen civil war that is known in Westeros as the Dance of Dragons.
