The Department of Meteorology says several provinces may experience a “caution level” heat index during the daytime today (April 22), meaning the temperature felt by the human body could remain relatively high despite intermittent rainfall.
The advisory has been issued for the Northern, North Central, North Western, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Eastern provinces, as well as the Monaragala District.
The public in these areas has been advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions against heat-related discomfort.
