Well-known comedian in the Tamil film industry – Robo Shankar has passed away yesterday (Sep. 18).
He was 46.
According to Indian media, the actor had been hospitalised in a critical condition on Sep. 16 and was receiving treatment at a hospital when he breathed his last.
A statement from the hospital added that Robo Shankar had “a massive gastrointestinal bleed and multi-organ dysfunction secondary to a complex abdominal condition” and that his condition “deteriorated rapidly” before he died on Thursday night.
Shankar is survived by his wife and daughter.
Tributes have poured in from many of Robo Shankar’s contemporaries and fans.
