Sri Lanka Customs has surpassed the Rs.02 trillion mark in tax revenue collection for 2025, as of last evening (Oct. 30).
According to reports, the department is on track to meet its annual target of Rs.2.115 trillion, marking the highest tax revenue ever collected in a year by a single government department in Sri Lanka’s history.
Of the total revenue, Rs.630 billion has been generated from motor vehicle imports.
Sri Lanka Customs has expressed confidence that it will exceed the annual target by around Rs. 300 billion by the end of the year.
