A special operation is to be initiated on Nov. 02, to drive away elephants that have been reported entering human settlements.
The operation will cover several locations, including Andarawewa, Ridiyagama, Liyangasthota, Beragama, and Hambantota.
In addition to wildlife officers, the police, Civil Defence Force, and local residents will also participate in the operation to ensure its successful implementation.
