Sri Lanka clinched a thrilling 07-run victory against Bangladesh in yesterday’s (Oct. 20) ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
SL captain – Chamari Athapaththu (4/42) emerged as SL’s standout performer with the ball with her heroics in the final over sealing the win.
Bangladesh lost 04 wickets in the first 04 deliveries of the over with Athapaththu claiming 03 of them to seal a dramatic win.
Batting first, Sri Lanka Women were bowled out for 202 runs in 48.4 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh managed 195 for 09 at the end of their 50 overs.
