The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has collected over Rs. 25 million in fines from legal proceedings against traders who sold bottled drinking water at inflated prices.
According to the CAA, these fines were imposed following 306 raids conducted nationwide during the six-month period from April 01 – Sep. 30, with the majority of inspections carried out in the Colombo district.
