The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has issued a gazette notification announcing the maximum retail prices (MRP) for imported rice varieties, effective from October 21, 2025.
The new MRPs are as follows:
Imported Raw Rice – Rs. 210 per kg
Imported Nadu – Rs. 220 per kg
Imported Samba – Rs. 230 per kg
Imported Ponni Samba – Rs. 240 per kg
Imported Kiri Ponni Samba – Rs. 255 per kg
